Our trip to Boston
June 1, 2009
Just recently we took a trip chinatown to chinatown. We started in Dc went to NY and then headed up to "The Bean". We had a crazy time keeping busy the whole time. First we went promo hopping with Tabi Bonney to all the hottest clothing boutques in the Boston area. Bodega, Karmaloop, AWOL, etc.. Then at night we hit The Middle East in Cambridge and saw our boy D Stacks open up for Akrobatik and Tabi Bonney. It was a real hot show, they had the band out dancers and everything. The Boston Herald was there, ShowOff Entertainment, Edo G and everybody in the New England scene. You can see their review of the show here.
To top that, D-Stacks and Akrobatik needed something extra. It came in the form of a live band, with which they both displayed great natural chemistry during their solo sets. D-Stacks channeled his inner rock star by tearing into an improvised version of Black Sabbath’s “Ironman,” a song even hardcore hip-hop fans knew by heart.
